What is the difference between single-strand winding and multi-strand winding?

Toroid Digital Transformer Winding Machine (8)

1. Motor winding related

1. The thicker the wire diameter, the more difficult it is for the winding machine to wind the wire.

2. The copper wire is damaged. The thicker the wire diameter, the easier it is to scratch the enameled wire sheath when winding, which is likely to cause damage to the wire.

Second, the motor itself

1. The skin effect will occur when the current passes through the wire, which will weaken the overcurrent capability of the winding. That is to say, the overcurrent capability of multiple lines is definitely stronger than that of a single line, and the overcurrent capability of a small size is greater.

2. For the maintenance of the motor itself, the large wire diameter is generally used rarely. Many repair shops do not have stock of commonly used types of enameled wire. Replacing a single wire with multiple wires can also solve a lot of after-sales troubles.
